Aristotle's modes of persuasion

Any brands job is to persuade its customers that it’s product or service is worth the investment. But if your brand exists in the mind of consumers, how do you make it a success?

Aristotle’s Rhetoric describes how modes of persuasion demonstrate credibility, appeal to emotion and provide significant proof the rhetoric is valid. That's what conscious branding is. Influencing the conversation. The rhetoric. It forms our four pillars of brand strategy.

Logos

Not your logo. Appeal to logic and reasoning by providing proof. This is your value proposition statement.

Ethos

Demonstrate ethics to build trust and credibility. What do you do that nobody else can lay claim to?

Pathos

Appeal to emotions and values through storytelling. Put your customers at the heart of your story.

Telos

Shows an entities purpose aim and intentions. Best articulated through a shared company vision.
